Story

Eenadu talks about terrorism from a new angle. The antagonist in it doesn’t come with a stereotyped religious label. In fact, he has no label at all. He is a ‘common man’ who vents out his angst by taking on the system and trying to bring it down to its knees. Only an obdurate Police Commissioner can foil his mission.

Venkatesh plays that top cop. On one  fateful day he receives a call from a man who claims to have planted bombs in different parts of the city, set to go off at half-past six in the evening. The caller (Kamal Hasan) describes self as a ‘common man’ and demands the release of four terrorists if the impending calamity has to be averted.

Prakash Rathod is someone who is not ready to give in so easily to the demands of a fanatic and dispatches a team of his best men to track down the man. The caller is always a step ahead and the Commissioner realizes that he cannot put the lives of so many people in jeopardy. He handpicks two of his best men, to hand over the four terrorists as demanded. The “Caller” (Kamal) on the other hand is keeping track of the police activities using a news reporter  whom he sends after the police.

The four terrorists are released from jail and taken to the Begumpet airport as instructed by Kamal. What happens next? watch on big screen.

Performances-

Kamal Hasan played a common man role-delivered descent performance. But don't compare with Nasheerdhin Sha of Hindi film A Wednesday. Both the actors  have their own style. Kamal's role is very interesting for those who have not watched Hindi version of the film.

Venkatesh has given one of the best performances in his carrier as police commissioner. Very good performance  from Venkatesh. Venkatesh has played very short role, he shares screen with Kamal in a couple scenes.

Director Chakri Tholeti has made his debut with different film that has the message to the entire country  and he tried to follow the original film (A Wednesday). Shruthi Kamal Hasan's music is impressive. The film is shot on Red Camera and its effect is visible as the visuals are really rich and bright

Finally- as the film is multi starrer  (Kamal and Venky), it may full crowds to the theatre , but how far today's audiences will like to see a message oriented serious films? wait and see for the result at the box office.
